yotes don't wear body armor, even at 100m there's enough power to down one....Just have to know your capabilities.
we should only take shots that we are sure will take an animal down as quickly and humanely as possible. but, theres a point where you have to step back and say to yourself "this is just a bad idea". shooting a yote at 100 yards with a 22 rimfire is ridiculous and there is not enough power to put the animal down unless you are very lucky.
i couldnt find a chart on the yellow jacket, but a federal load that is 2 grains lighter and 70fps slower at the muzzle has a mere 141 ft/lbs at the muzzle and only 75 ft/lbs at 100 yards. definitely not coyote medicine.
even though they are only yotes, they still deserve to be put down quickly.
