I believe they are prohib in canada. some countrys do that because they start alot of fires and what not as they burn and land too far...

If its just colored smoke with no explosive being fired from a flare gun maybe it would be possible to get here. Cant be more likely to start a fire than an actual flare is right? or Fireworks...

The current issue is that tracers do not meet the definition of "safety cartridge" and thus require a magazine license for storage. We discussed this recently with NRCAN.
