Ron, I tried N160, 47gr was only giving me around 2330fps, too slow, 47gr of H4350 was at around 2530fps. Only 10°C outside that day, probably would be a bit faster at 25-30°C. 30" barrel.
2.98" COAL(.020" jump) no pressure signs in my rifle. This was with Palma brass and CCI450's. I stopped at 47gr cause I couldn't seem to get more in there, short of throating it another .100" longer.
I didn't try N150, I assumed it would be a bit fast for these but perhaps it would do fine.
What's your COAL when it touches the rifling?
If I have time over the winter I plan to build a 300WM to shoot the 220L's with N170.
And of course to anyone else reading this, these are not factory rifles nor normal loads for a 308, this is for FTR and is experimental, play at own risk.
