if Canada is anything like NZ then .223/5.56mm fmj surplus ammo is like hens teeth.
well the NZ army has upgraded their steyrs to a new model with a faster twist, so all the 55gr ammo has been dumped for the civi market.
its FNH manufactured, reloadable , and at $750 NZ for 1000x round, not too bad. im picking that will be about $400 cdn

Guncity.. while on the expensive side ( even for nz ) . are pretty good and you should be able to talk to the manager ( Tim ) and sort something out, if a bunch of you guys want to get in on it
i dont know about the legalities of shipping in ammo, even if its for personal use and not for sale.
