Heya guys,
Since my 223 semi is now prohibited in canada, i was looking for some recommandations between a few models i was looking for that could replace it (and not become prohib. a week later), was mostly looking for one that accept AR mags, like a Ruger Predator and add a nice MDT chassis, or something a little flashier/fun gun like a Henry Supreme, MRA Renegade, Hera Arms H6 or maybe just get a tikka ctr and just give up the mags idea, or anything else that could fit in that price point, if yall have some advice or pros/cons for those ! (most use would be at the range and some varmint from time to time)

I have a nice Troy PAR for sale. Its basically an AR but pump action, so you can still get the rounds off quick if you want. It comes with an optic, quick detach Burris PEPR mount and harris clone bipod and whatever I can find for it you want.

Thats a sweet looking rig. Whats the deal with that stock?

I'm in love with my Supreme!

Haven't tried a PAR or Taipan X. Would like to but I think in the end the lever would win for me personally. The lever on the Supreme is super smooth and light and probably easier to stay on target and thus faster than a pump action.

I also have a fancy Renegade with upgrades and prefer the Supreme over it.

If you want to stay with using AR mags, the predator and MDT stock will fit the bill. A Howa 1500 mini, heavy barrel, 10 round box magazine is another rifle in the same price point. MDT makes a chassis as well for the mini. The Howa is also available in the lighter sporter barrel.

Hi Karl,

We distribute MRA Renegades across Canada. If you aren't able to come to our shop in Barrie to check one out, ask your local dealer. We shipped a bunch 2 weeks ago and are shipping more next week.

Our Renegade Rifle Kit even lets you take most of the components of your now prohib AR and use them to build a Renegade rifle for major cost savings.

The best part is that if we ever get a new government that repeals that awful OIC, you can put your AR back together again, no changes are permanent.

some nice rigs you got there ! love the RPP kit on the supreme, got one too on my henry X

I've got a supreme on my list to buy. What are the iron sights like on it? Does it have a squared off front post or a bead?

I went with Midwest Industries on my .357 Henry X. It's a nice handguard but after trying the RPP stuff I prefer the later.

It’s true tho. We may as well do lawn bowling. Their probably going to make all of the plinkers prohib and if we’re gonna give them all up we may as well start knitting our own underwear as a hobby or maybe gardening, as long as the gardening tools aren’t prohibited by then.

Feel better for crapping on other gun owners?
Seriously! Like either of us havent done it. Come on Joel, have a nice bottle of Macallan 15 year old or a really nice splash of Lagavulin 11 year old unless you prefer the DESIGNER scotch,as my buddy puts it, like Glen whatever and all the rest haha. Just let the guy do what he does with his own property, I'm trying to be better about it haha.

Those are much more than good enough, and generously offered. Would really enjoy that! Same if you ever end up in the Montreal or Ottawa area for some unGodly reason haha.
