Accurate & easy to scope.

Hypothetically if I had my own land - and the AR was registered to it and no shooting bans where in place - I'd use an accurized 20" AR.

For me, taking Ar15 mags would be the thing.
I could say get the HKSL8 M16 mag adapter or get a Tavor..the Tavor is not easy to scope so I would be a tie between the 2.

If AR's would be OK to hunt with again..An accurized 20'' freefloat would be the way to go.

Ruger has lots of ways to accurize now and can get almost as good as a well prepped AR. Pretty pricey once all done up.

The Swiss has a superb reputation for accuracy but pricey.

The AR180 is not bad for short range stuff. I have seen some reviews that were in the 1.5MOA type range so passible for 250yds on yotes. Reasonably priced compared to the other two.

These are supposed to be MOA and are priced at $974.99 @ SIR.

AR15 with a .204 Ruger upper (20-24" bull barell).

As for non-restricted I think I'd go with an HK Sl8-4.

The reason for the .204
Higher velocity (4000 + FPS) = more red mist also a very flat trajectory.
Recoil is tamer than the .223. You can watch your hits in your scope.
The .204 round also appears to be very accurate. Barrel life is said to be very good. It's a round specifically designed for varminting. It excells at it.

AR is restricted, so it should not be an option for varmint...
Shot both Sig and HK, for pure precision no contest, the HK wins the match...

I can get MOA @ 100m with mine but only with heavier grain bullets (69gr.HPBT)
Mine really doesn't like the common commercial 55gr-ers.
