22lr ammo at canadian tire

Is that 6.50 for a box of 50 rounds? I remember when a box of 50 LR was about 50 cents. That was a lot of money, my dad was in US Army and got em even cheaper, free.

Is Aguila good ammo? 13 cents a round seems a bit high for just plinking ammo.

Have you priced the Federal Gold ammo for the Olympic matches?
It is even more expensive than that.
But, if you have a line on ammo at less than the .13 per round care to share the source please ?
Wasnt it Aguila that was going to reintroduce the .5mm rimfire ammo a few years back?
Tight Groups,
Rob

I saw some Federal Blue Box in Nanaimo a couple of weeks back for $55.00 for 500 rounds = 11 cents a round. I didn't buy any because I still have a reasonable supply of Mini Mag/Blazer and miscellaneous other brands in my stash for now. Still, I felt 11 cents a round was more that I was willing to go............for now.

Yes it was.

I picked up 4 boxes of the standard velocity, just to try it out.... I mostly shoot cci but the way things are I'll give anything a try. They also had Remington subsonic at $9 a box crazy, I wish I would've picked more blazers when I had the chance.

I remember when a loaf of bread was 17 cents, a pack of smokes was 23 cents & CIL WhizBang .22 shorts were about 50 cents a box. ;) I suppose it's what ever the buyer is willing to pay.

That said, it is a terrible price for "plinking ammo" there are better deals out there.

Any CTC that ordered it just got in three varieties of Aguila.

Corp sourced it from Mexico (edit - the ammo was wholesaled by Maurice Sports (which is owned by Canadian Tire Corp) - I don't know if they are the importer or middle man)

It's $6.50/50 rounds for 40 grain lead or 40 grain copper plated. It's 7.50/50 rounds for the sub-sonic stuff - 40 grain lead (think they are all round nose).

We also got a decent sized shipment of Winchester 40 grain hollow points - they are also $6.50/50 rounds.

Welcome to the new prices - partly the dollar and partly the importers adding to the cost since the stuff is scarce.

And no, you have to get it "in store" at a crappy tire that has (minimally) an ammo licence.

Stopped at CTC Sudbury, South end store yesterday & they had just received some Federal 325 pack @ $27.99
& Winchester 333 round box @ $23.99

Picked up a couple & left some for you guys. Thought I'd let you know,...they are going fast from what I was told!

Who is buying SuperX wood bricks @ $59.99?????????????????????????
Why on earth would someone spend 12.6 cents a round on bulk ammo?
Fed 525 is still $31.50 a brick
