.22lr ammo at walmart in winnipeg?

Their website has conflicting prices, and their box counts are conflicting on what they have in store. They have 50 round boxes for $2.79 and 10 packs (500 rounds) for $21.99 in one window and $24.99 in another window. So those prices fluctuate from 5.6c to 6.2c per round. However I have AE boxes and bricks here purchased from Cabella's at the $21.99 price but the individual boxes were 40 rounders at ten boxes per brick not 50 rounders, making the price 6.2c per round. If their site is right and 500 rounds is 5.6c a piece, I am going tomorrow to buy 5000 rounds and be done with it. I have a Krinker Plinker coming and an R22 and 10/22 to feed and 5.6c beats anything especially with American Eagle other than the $20.99 price I saw in Cambodian Tire for a 500 round brick of ammo that the name now escapes me. (4.7c a round)

i havent seen this many numbers in one go since highschool. My head hurts. :bangHead:

The cheapest 22LR I found at my local Canadian tire was the pack of bulk federal 525 selling for $22, 25 after taxes and all.
Prices are up up and up…
There is a guy at the range which was able to turn his 22 rimfire into a centerfire with some modifications to the bolt face and now he reloads them.
I can understand why now.

Went to wal mart in my area , asked a clerk to show my the area for ammunition. He took me to a glass cabinet filled with air soft and pellets.
When I told him I was looking for actual rifle ammunition that has gun powder in it he told me to wait a minute.
He went to call some supervisor, when she came over she said that wall mart canada does not stock any ammunition with gun powder and it is illegal to sell.

I didn’t want to tell her otherwise and politely left because it looked almost like the next thing that she would do is call the police to have me arrested for trying to buy “ammunition with gunpowder”.

That was my wal mart experience.
