22LR bolt-action recomendations

Looks like a bench rest oriented set up....... I'm sure it will shoot well and if it floats your boat and you don't mind the price(about $600 all in with the rebate)..... go for it!
Figure another $300 or so for a scope.

that's a varmint/tactical type stock, to round to be a benchrest stock and with the hand hook on the butt stock not practical for riding a rear bag

Misuse of the term benchrest on my part. I meant rested while sitting at a bench.
With the two sling studs it's sort of sugesting "bipod"
I've shot some pretty good groups of a basic bench rest with guns that don't have flat bottoms.

Even my little scout with the brutal trigger.... :)

This one caught my eye.

A very good choice.

I'll vote for the cz455. Currently fondling my varmint right now hah. Are they more accurate than the savages? It's debatable, at a minimum it's not worse. But the overall build quality is much nicer imo

The CZ also has milled grooves in the receiver which I prefer over drilled and tapped bases.

actually.........if CZ drilled and tapped then they would have hit a home run with the BRNO take over, scope ring choice would be huge rather then having to fight the dovetail size and fit. I almost drilled and tapped one of my 452's but then there was this little voice inside my head........so bkl rings it eas

Yup BKL's work for me.
I like integrated mounts on Ruger's and BSA's as well.
I guess I've never thought about it as much as you Dave but I can see your point for more mounting options.... can you mount a solid dovetail conversion rail across the receiver of a CZ?
Might have to pull out the CZ just to satisfy my curiously?

Yodave, you probably already know about this guy's rail adapter... but it's new to me!
Sort of like buying a mount to attach to a Savage but it works on the railed CZ. locked with set screws.

The difference in accuracy between a nice shooting Savage and nice shooting CZ is not of consequence when measuring my shooting ability that's for sure!

All my scoped cz's have a dip rail on them. I get the extended rail. The extended mag release is pretty fantastic as well.

I guess Im one of those guys now, Picked up a CZ last year, store had all these and a couple others, the CZ just plain feels the best for me, shoots better than I can.

The CZ guys will be along shortly....And there not wrong. But do look at ruger 77/22 or a browning t-bolt before you decide :)

I have a Savage Arms Mark II FVT and love it. Iron sights that are adjustable, thick barrel but still pretty light. It's a synthetic stock but I've not had any issues with it and I've had it for a year. It's a bit pricey but well worth it as a nice target/plinker.
