i cant remember if it was in this thread i recommended this but i give a huge +1 on the mueller APT or APV scopes. amazing quality for the price.

A bit pricy but they hold their value, A CIL Anschutz 180 single shot with peep sights; shorter stock and amazingly accurate and easy to shoot accurately. Scopes cause eye relief issues for kids.

Not one vote for Browning? I do like my T-Bolt Varmit. Very nice wood stock and heavy barrel. Comparable to a new CZ.

Lawyer'in triggers regardless of the set screw provided.
Had a new one and hated the trigger.
Sold it.

Ad a mark 2 fvsr for a while, not bad accuracy but could not get pass the cheap magasine and finish so sold it and bought a cz, happy camper since.

I still have me 1st one. A Cooey model 39 that I reworked to suit my use back in '70. Me older peepers now demand a decent scope so I now run a CZ 452 Scout & 452 Lux.

Having some savage guns, I have heard there 22's are pretty good I'd start there.
