My Dad had 3 or 4 of the M16 style semi-auto 22's and I have been looking for them used and just cant find them.

I know Armscor, Jauger and a couple other companies made them, but I havnt seen any used ones around... I dont know if my dad just got lucky or if they if hiding in plain sight from me...

how much do they go for? I think my dad got them at a pawn shop for dirt cheap.

I got this Squire bingham for $200 at a local gunshow last year with a spare mag.

fun to shoot

I've had a Jaeger that was absolute crap. I've got one of the squires bingham 1600's with a telescopic butt that's a blast to shoot. Little cranky with ammo sometimes but well worth the $40.00 i spent on it.
If you look on the EE you will see both types pop up occassionally for anywhere from $200.00 to $500.00.
My advice is when you see one if its for a reasonable price don't think about it just snap it up.

I have a S&B M16. At times yes it is picky with ammo but I still enjoy it. Probably haven't shot it in a year but there is so little time and so many guns.

And they are non-restricted. There is a version that is restricted but it's not the S&B version.

everyone interested in a tactical .22 should wait to see if the Sig 522 comes out, depending on price, it may be worth it. I've seen 10/22's worth over $1200 easy. By the way, PC9, yours looks amazing, good job.

I have alot of money into this one but it can be done for cheaper.
Nordic AR 10/22 kit 260.00
Free float hand guards 100.00
11.5 ER Shaw barel 220.00
Ace stock 100.00
Hogue grip 25.00
VQ trigger group 200.00
10/22 frame and bolt 150.00
Theese are gestemet prices but i think i am close:)

Thank you:)
The 10/22 has to be the funnest gun out there.Lots of differant mods you can do.Build it the way you want.Yes you can spend alot of money on them but the fun factor i get when i am outdoors blasting away pop cans, shotgun shells and whatever is worth every penny.Nothing like having 10 loaded up 25 rnd mags ready to go:dancingbanana:

Had an Adler Jager AP-74 for a few years. It was the spittin' image of an AR-15 A1. I found it to be completely reliable (after a very minor mod.) and surprisingly accurate- not as accurate as my Anschutz 190 at 20 m, but darn close. It was great fun to shoot and won a few matches for me. Sold it because the AP-74 was placed on the restricted list at the same time as the AR-15 (ridiculous, I know - it's a .22 for Pete's sake!) and the indoor range I was shooting on at the time was not certified for restricteds.

.22 AR uppers seem to keep it looking as close to "real". They shoot well too.

Tactical Solutions light varmint upper .22LR. Free floated barrel, I'm not sure if it's a Mike Rock blank or not. It is threaded on the end. I have the upper on a Stag lower with a Magpul CTR stock. Works well, shoots well and handles extremely quickly. With the Eotech on it, you just can't beat the fun factor.

They are definatly nice looking rigs but they are restricted to range use only. Its nice having something you can shoot off range with.:)

That's true. In my case I bought mine specifically for shooting metal on the pistol range. With indoor range use during the winter, a close second. I put the Eotech 553 on this rig and it just puts a big smile on my face. It's fast action yet accurate plinking at it's best. Plus the ammo is actually affordable.

I agree it's a niche market. For off the range, I have a bunch of other .22 rifles that I can take.

I am thinking of getting one also:)We have a 50 meter outdoor range here and it would be just perfect for something like that.
Would it be legal to cut down the barel on that?
