Im talking about less machining marks, and blueing that doesnt look likes it was put on with a paint brush. If it was blued properly the rifle should rust on its own while using it or even shortly after getting home from the range.
I take it you meant to type 'the rifle should not rust'.
You clearly have never seen a Savage MKII BVSS up close. The finish is very nice. There's no comparison between any $200 rifle and the Savage MKII BVSS. None at all; finish or performance. Its one rifle where the extra expense pays off in a big way.
And btw, I've got many hundreds of rounds (thousands really) down mine and there's no sign of any rust. When you buy a nicer rifle, you get a nicer rifle. When you buy crap, you get crap.
