I keep running into 22 lr ammo. I dont consider myself a hoarder. I just dont buy everything I see. If I see it I'll buy a brick. Talk to wamart guy yesterday and it seems they have been getting lots it also seems that someone knows when it gets there.
I saw 20 bricks of 525 Wednesday and meant to take one but had shopping to do and frgot to come back. First thing in the morning I went back and it seems one person bought it all. I guess first come first served. Only ammo not moving is single boxes.

Walmart has tones of WIN 33 and Rem 525 golden bullets. I bought all the Win555. CT got a large shipment of WIN555 and selling buckets of bullets again. Just CT became greedy with the pricing.

They get it regularly, and people buy it all because it's priced under the new market value. I used to grab the cheap 100 pack of shotgun shells for $25, and overnight one day it went to $31.

Crap ammo never ran out. I have 20K + rounds of Win and Federal.

It's the CCI Mini-Mags that people want (it's just way better ammo - both in terms of reliability and accuracy - than Federal or Winchester). I'm down to my last 8k rounds of that, and it's a concern.

I thought it was just the US that was having this 'problem.' I recall hearing a lot of the conspiracy theorist lunatics claiming that Obama was buying up all the .22LR rounds and dumping them in the ocean, so they buy it all themselves, leaving none for the next guy, who then starts to believe this is true, and so on and so on. Durn fool kids and their self-fulfilling prophecies....

At $40 a box for bulk it should be sitting on shelves.

Im going to take the receipt that I got from Walmart saying I paid 58.58 for 2 bricks at 25.47 each and see if I can price match because I keep buying walmart stock. I need more supply.

Wow, and I thought $40/brick was steep. I wonder how much Chinadian Tire sells at those prices? They can keep 'em.

I'm quite satisfied with the two Bucket's O' Bullets (Remington Golden Bullets, 1400 rounds each) I just bought at Bass Pro for $80 each.

And to think, two months ago I laughed at a Cabelas clerk for suggesting that $45 a box was a good price because "you can't find it anywhere else." I told him about Walmart and the smile left his face pretty fast. Found more 333 packs in Walmart this week due to a tip from a friend. $15.47.

Lets just say some people are not bright. I heard people behind me talking to one of the sale staff WOW this is great cannot find 22 anywheres. He bought 2 over priced 50rd box of S&B..

22LR is EVERYWHERE I go right now, an the stuff I really like is currently only $5 more then what I was paying 5 years ago.

Come pay day I'm snatching it all!

We have an excellent selection of 22LR ammunition, both the affordable options and the premium stuff.

CCI Mini Mags (both HP and RN) and currently $10/100 rounds, for those that are interested. And we can ship it anywhere in Canada.

So many people talking about the shortage of .22's and the high prices when they are available.

Yet other people are saying that when they find them in a store, they stock up and buy the entire lot.
Any wonder why there is a shortage and why the prices are going up ?? Ever heard
of the law of supply and demand ?

CT had a tiny bit here and it was gone and Wally world had some for a while and then it was gone also first I had seen in years in either store. I have lots now as I bought a bit here and there in the last couple of years. I only use it to shoot coons and pigs plus a skunk once in a while.

I just paid $78+ tax for a brick of cci stingers and $48+ tax for a brick of cci standard. Over priced but I needed it

Where is the 22 mag and I mean the good stuff?

I forgot to mention. 333 was $15.9#, 525 was$25.9# , CT is greedy and only allows 1 brick per customer.

If CT was "greedy" as a retailer, they would sell it to the first person who asked for it... as a retailer it is their job to sell merchandise as quickly as possible and at a profit... it sounds to me that they established the rule to protect their customers as a whole from greedy consumers...
