I have had a bunch of tacticool stocks and one day i realized its still just a 10/22. So now i have a couple with modified wood stocks without too many gimicks. I dunno i find the pistol grip set up looks cool and is ergonomic but find most of my shooting at the range and dont find that set up benches well.
Also most tacticool stocks have a bit of flex to them and or get quite heavy with big optics which is what i like.
I would suggest a factory ruger compact with a quad rail and a slip on bird cage "muzzle protector" then put on a high set of williams firesights and some VQ internals. You will have sort of a socom m1 carbine sort of thing going and mount whatever you want.
Ive become more of an iron and wood sort of guy. I see too many tacticool builds for sale so i keep it simple and cheap. BTW ive sold a few of those builds myself.
About the only one i havent tried is the butler creek folder which i always thought would be cool.
Edit: just to add ive had the dlask 12 & 16" bull barrels and sold them too.
Accuracy was decent but with the factor compact barrel i can shoot .5-.75 groups at 50 yrds and thats good enough for me and not worth the extra weight.
