22LR tactical, which would you buy?

I have had a bunch of tacticool stocks and one day i realized its still just a 10/22. So now i have a couple with modified wood stocks without too many gimicks. I dunno i find the pistol grip set up looks cool and is ergonomic but find most of my shooting at the range and dont find that set up benches well.
Also most tacticool stocks have a bit of flex to them and or get quite heavy with big optics which is what i like.
I would suggest a factory ruger compact with a quad rail and a slip on bird cage "muzzle protector" then put on a high set of williams firesights and some VQ internals. You will have sort of a socom m1 carbine sort of thing going and mount whatever you want.
Ive become more of an iron and wood sort of guy. I see too many tacticool builds for sale so i keep it simple and cheap. BTW ive sold a few of those builds myself.
About the only one i havent tried is the butler creek folder which i always thought would be cool.

Edit: just to add ive had the dlask 12 & 16" bull barrels and sold them too.
Accuracy was decent but with the factor compact barrel i can shoot .5-.75 groups at 50 yrds and thats good enough for me and not worth the extra weight.

Thanks to those who gave helpful info. To the others why so against a tac22? What wrong with making something look better? No different than lifting your truck with big mudders and not going to the bogs.
I will prolly go the 10/22 route. Money isnt an issue as much as value is.

Funny no one mentioned the Umarex HK416D...it is restricted though (and not cheap). Love mine and very cool looking. But if you're set on NR then disregard...

I wouldn't. But if you must I suppose the SR22 is the only good choice that isn't cheap.
Personally I would just get a black synthetic 10/22 and slap a red dot on it and dress it up however else you like.
That way you don't have to have a restricted sr22.

Your thinking SR22 pistol. SR22 rifle is just a 10/22 in a Nordic Components chassi that they make for Ruger.

I run a SR22 chassi, a Stainless 10/22 some mods and I got a 8.5" barrel. I had to pin the stock open but still non restricted. Quite funny because the forearm is 3" longer then the barrel. I built mine less then buying a new SR22.

I decided to get an ISSC Mk 22 from IRG recently.. at $500 to my door with 3 mags, I could not pass it up. But now I have a Sophies Choice moment and have to pick an SR-22 to sell.

In keeping with what Ian C posted above, one thing I would like to do to an SR 22 is get some wood AR furniture for it; A2 fixed stock, regular pistor grip, and for the HG, I would really like a wood version of the Magpul 2-part HG. It would look like a SR 22 / FN hybrid. Any CGN woodworkers up for a challenge?
