234 Wildcat Family....ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY

In case anyone missed it... the cartridge in need of a moniker is the .234-08... I do like "cougar" but Doug is the BOSS on this project and he has veto rights... and Doug is tired of pus... er... kitties...

Hey... how about BOSS... the .234 BOSS... which any cartridge based on the OH-8 case is sure to be...

Or Boss Hogg, remember that rascal?
I think Doug is a bystander and the real Dug is Douglas.
I could be wrong though.
Wait, Doug wears a white hat and Douglas wears a chapeau noire
with the flat eaves troff.

Will the real Doug please stand up?

Oh my...........hay swampy, go back a read the story.............

Seems we have a fur crisis.
And with the meeeyow flavor.

Fark'in pewzies give us nuff remorse in our lives, how 'bout changing the tide?

Let's go a different direction with a completely different species and classification of critters, but more representing the far north..........234 Narwhal.....................don't think it's ever been used before, kinda has a unique ring to it and flies in the face of the antis......This isn't a decree though, just a suggestion, what do the rest think?
I been thinking that I don't really care for "Pipsqueak" either, it doesn't really fit with the program...........how bout something like 230 Mongoose, you know small but incredibly tough.....kills all out of proportion to it's size.

I'm not sure about "rolling off the tongue," but the bigger problem would be that 99.5% of shooters south of the border would be asking; "what the frig is a Narwhal?"

To assist with identification and memorability... the name should be something most can relate to, or at least identify... IMO.

That name could pique the curiousity of said shooters because of not knowing what it is.

Perhaps .230 Walrus in deference to c-fbmi's moustache which several have mentioned is a little on the bristly side.:xes

That's hysterical... I had exactly the same thought... but I didn't say it because Douglas already thinks I have a "funky thing" for his moustache! ;)

I like "Narwhal" and I REALLY LIKE confusing shooters south of the border. How often do we get a chance to do THAT!!! :dancingbanana:

Would "Walrus" not suggest slow and lumbering?

Doug

Along the same line...the .230 Meerkat??

The meerkat or suricate, Suricata suricatta, is a small mammal belonging to the mongoose family. (Wikipedia)
