Yeah Abbycat need a new rifle and since I bought her a shotgun a week ago I was thinking of a lady hunter in 7-08 for moose..............

Ya Yo-yo.............let's here the story.............................any current story............ :) ......................:runaway:

I trust I can trust you with the one I PM'd you...................if not I am driving your way for revenge..............

truth be known we left the poor girl back in camp on coyote detail as we had 1 moose and 2 deer hanging, we weren't gone more then an hour and the poor girl spies a monster moose crashing through the slash on the other side of the road we were calling home. We were obviously to far away for her to call us back to get a good shot on this thing, I mean less then 150 yards from camp.........so she took matters into her own hands and grabbed her rifle and took up chase, now remember she has never shot a moose and the only one she had ever seen prior to this was already quartered before it got to camp, so she had no idea the size, she got into what she thought was around 80 yards and had a clean shot.....that is where things got interesting...as she shouldered the 221 fireball and got the beast in the scope she decided to take a shot high on the neck at the base of the scull, just as she started squeezing the trigger the old bull stopped dead and staired right in her general direction, she took the shot, the moose just stood there as if nothing happened, being a smart cookie she racked the bolt on that little cz rifle hard and fast and had a follow up shot within seconds, aimed in the same spot, she watched him collapse under the weight of himself on his legs and new she had him down, she slowly closed the gap making sure that she didn't spook him if he wasn't finished and when she finally got up to him she realized that maybe just maybe she needed a bigger rifle for moose............no chit....real story......

And a good story it was too (.221 FB! She Bartell'd Him)... now let's get back to your "situation..."

You need to create this story its own thread with pictures! Cool story!

your right, it needs it's own thread.......however we warned her that she would be thrown under the bus for the actions she took, although successful that time around not really something she wants to brag about on the interweb............

Ahhhhh yes... the CGN bus... it tends to run over things like "Sunray", folks using muzzlebrakes and those who shoot moose with Fireball's... funny place, CGN.

situation critical...............just sayin' and still no 7-08 for abbycat..........and aint no way in hell is she getting a 270, to me that's one of the most useless cartridges around, okay for some fellows who like vanilla and lack of bullet weight and selection..........
