Tried to research this a few years back aswell. This is a longshot but the only connection I found that might have started the rumor of these being made in the same factory as a Remington product was when old Freedom group Remington purchased Marlin and Marlin then purchased H&R, H&R had the pardner pump which was also a 870 clone and it was manufactured in China by Hawk Industries and when you look at the markings on the underside of the Blue line pump shotgun near the loading port it's stamped "Hawk Industries made in China" so in that aspect I guess you can consider it was made in the same factory as another Remington owned productSo I did a bit of a dive into the question of - are these made in the same factory as Remington?
It’s a bit inconclusive. Some people seem to think that Remington could import certain parts, others say they’re all made in NY.
I quite like the parkerized finish on the one I have already.
Inconclusive? It’s a straight up fabrication, a lie. It’s an 870 clone, nothing more.So I did a bit of a dive into the question of - are these made in the same factory as Remington?

What is there to check on? Remington has never made an 870 in China.Let me check on that..
Someone added it to the details. I need to figure out who and why.Inconclusive? It’s a straight up fabrication, a lie. It’s an 870 clone, nothing more.
I’m not knocking the shotgun. I have a Norinco HP-9. Great shotgun, and this is a fantastic price. I’m tempted to pick one up myself. Are you sure yours is parkerized?

It doesn’t accept Remington barrels.Hey bullseye…..so can you tell me for sure if this shot gun
Can accept another barrel (so it can use chokes )
If possible a rifled barrel can fit it
If so hmmm the price is right for a shot gun that one doesn’t have to worry about about dings and nicks on it
Bullseye are great to deal with and have some killer sales. Make sure to get on the mailing list. I like the EMT payment option too.Great deal! I’m looking for a first gun and this may be it!

You’d be surprised. This will be my second one. They’re very good quality. What in the world will be the quality of 200$ new shotgun at the year 2025 dollar value? A surplus shotgun will be ten time better.
HP9s are better. At least they accept rem barrels.. Only thing that is not from a 870 is. My reciever and mag tube and pump tube.It doesn’t accept Remington barrels.
Jeff it’s probably a lot like a black matte cerakote finish.I just took a look. It’s not blued like my 88. It’s got a matte slightly textured finish. Not sure what it is.
Can anyone smarter then me say what it is?
Here's a quick picture comparison I took of Remington 870 parts and Blue line pump parts. I'm no expert just an 870 enthusiast, any views and info is based off my personal experience with the Blue line pump i own, just saying this cause who knows there might be some variations between other Blue line pumps....So the barrel isn't compatible, but does anyone know if the trigger assembly, slide assembly, and breech bolt are interchangeable with an 870?

There's atleast two parts I've found that aren't fully interchangeable, that's the barrel because the the barrel lug that goes over the mag tube when installing the barrel is further forward than the standard 870 barrel lug.
So if one wanted to use actual 870 barrels on a blue line receiver you would have to create some kind of adapter tube to fit over the the mag tube in order to lock it down with the mag cap. And on the other hand if someone tried to use a blue line barrel on a standard 870 receiver, it would not work. The lug is to far forward, it goes passed the 4 rd mag tube.

On the right side is the Blue line stud, left is a receiver stud threaded for a Remington.
The Blue line stud has a larger diameter at the threads. It's a minor part but if you strip it or cross thread it when you're installing a different stock and need to replace it, the factory Remington stud won't work, it kinda slips into the hole and won't actually thread into the receiver.
Everything else seemed to cross over no problem and seemed to function properly but this is using snap caps not live fire so I cannot vouch for reliability if one was to swap parts between the two and run the firearm like that.

And lastly they do accept 870 mag extensions but thought I'd mention i had two Blue Line pumps one had very tight threads on the end of the mag where I could barely get the extension on and then the other pump thread on no problem. So again tolerances may differ between each one.... Hope this info helps some of you interested in this pump.
Love the integrity Bullseye!Great, post ..thank you.
we have removed the comments about the manufacturing.
Thanks for taking the time to post this for us. Just great detail.
