243 Improved, the 6mm Creedmoor

Couple dogs down to bloody the new 6mm. Like the 243, they don't make a twitch when hit

The Creedmoor case has just the right case capacity for a 6mm bore diameter! 6BR is too small, 243AI is too much. Regarding the case itself, 6.5 Creedmoor is too slow, my 22 Creedmoor is firecracking the throat already ;-).

Might have to get one soon.

Great thread and nice rifle. It’s amazing how good those bullets that you shoot travel. I can shoot tiny bug hole groups with my 243 and 70gr Nosler BT bullets at 100 yards but at 400 they don’t stay nearly as consistent as that. Maybe I’ll try to work up a load with a heavier bullet and better BC for some long range plinking.

Anyway, after reading this thread I will be plinking at 400 this weekend with my 243.

Cheers,

oh yeah. Big entrance on one, quartering to in the shoulder. Second one got it in the tenderloins as it was departing with a nose full of Bartell. Wrecked some backstrap on exit too

“Second one got it in the tenderloins as it was departing with a nose full of Bartell.”

That could almost pass for a Rut Daniels line!
