As would I. But "risky shot" means different things for different people.
This issue is very much like basketball. Taking a shot from the 3-point line may be risky for you, or unlikely that you will make the shot, but for someone like Michael Jordan it's a much different scenario. The difference is that he has put in hours and hours of practice, is very capable of making the shot, and knows when to shoot and when not to.
I don't know....the last time I checked....the targets at the range are static....last time I checked animals move.....or at least they appear to move sometimes....at 1000 yards all the animal has to do is take 1 step at the same moment you sqeeze the trigger and a double lung has now become a gun shot....
On the archery range I can routinely pop 8 inch balloons at 100 yards......I miss every now and then but I am pretty consistant.....does that give me the right to take 100 yard pop shots at game in the field with bow and arrow.....I think not....IF I did and was successful and put the video up for people to watch I would expect at least 1/2 would have a problem with it.
