243 win vs 270 win

.243 is probably best if you're hunting in Alberta or places where you can make longer shots on deer. It's a flat shooting high speed round with very little kick - what's not to love? My wife and 11 year old both shoot the .243 and IMHO is a great deer and smaller round. The light kick makes it fun to shoot too. Too bad the ammo wasn't cheaper!

Really? Having never fired a rifle that large I thought they would be more intense. Good to know

A 2 oz load @ 1300 fps in a 6 pound gun packs a significant wallop on both ends... the .375's are .243's in comparison.
