25 Yard Freestyle Accuracy.....let's play a game.

very nice. this is what I am aiming to do consistently.

Wasn't planning on posting these but what the heck (one target only has 8 shots).

I think right now this IS the newbie place, mostly because the seasoned guys had their fun before page 50 or 60 and rarely post here anymore, maybe due to boredom. :)

I will have to try this soon...however I'm not sure I'm a good enough shot to hit much at the 25 yard line yet.

10 yards and most of my shots are within a 6" circle...

maybe we can make a 10 yard thread for the newbies?

Another day, another gun, aother good score. life is good! 95 2X with G22. 3 more different pistols to try. hope I can keep this up. :)

I'll be honest with you, I can't do this consistently. I only post my best groups and I'll tell you some of the other groups I shot that day leave a little to be desired. I know the gun is capable of much more than I am that's for sure.

more reason to go to range more! :)

Didn't get great scores today, but still made to 90. All stll B8 @25 meters :)

first. MP40 with 9mm storm lake. 90 2X. My load seems to be too light for this gun as I got more than 10 FTE in 150 rounds. shot off 5,6 target clips.
you can see one at the top right corner just in the 7 ring. :)

2nd. G30s. 90, no X. :(

Target was shot using an antique Rogers and Spencer revolver made circa 1865. 13 shot group at 20yards - single handed.

Hardly. I didn't set the rules and I am in no position to compete with the pros, YET.
Just stated the facts. And I did say it was a great group, not like "an acceptable target" that came out of your mouth.
Instead of trashing others, why don't you show us your 25-yarda targets.
If you got skills, you can trash me any time you want. That would be my motivation. Otherwise, I don't care trash talk.

Jealous?? That's a acceptable target.

Different username, Same hand that shot it.

Now that's great scores and I am jealous! Actions always are louder than just words!
These are the scores and the consistency I am after right now. You are the man! Please do share some targets with bigger calibres.

Btw, care to elaborate the multiple usernames?

Practice. Practice. Practice. All I can say is practice. I honestly got a locker full of center fires and I barely shoot them, might haul them out and try. I'm more of a rimfire person.

As for the username change, Just needed a change.

Yes. Practice is the key. If you don't have time to shoot those center fires, send them my way, I will do the practice for you. Lol..

my cz gave me good consistent results today, but I sucked with my p226 40S&W. :(

all being equal, I think so given the much lighter recoil. However, with all calibers, the key for this challenge is "consistency", not the one-off best score. If one can shoot .22lr consistently above 95 at 25 meter and beyond either one or two-hand unsupported, I doubt the person will be much worse in 9/40/45. Of course, technically speaking, there are top .22lr pistols are specifically designed for bullseye shooting(like the strange(to me) grip), while none for other common calibers(9/40/45) as far as I know.

Does the ammo used affect the results of this challenge much? Specifically .22lr?
