Awsome bear to be taken with a 257 Roberts, that gal has more balls than some guys i know.

Gatehouse, that is a fantastic picture. Just goes to show that placement is the key.....we very often use too much gun on our game.

The ammo was a 110gr Nosler Partition factory load. First shot was behind the should er and took out lungs, second shot nailed the heart.

That is one lovely bear and a great lesson to all of us here.

I read about a hunter in the early 20th century that killed over 100 Grizzly with a savage model 99 in 250-3000, I think the story said that he used 90 grain bullets. I also read about a guide that used a 30/30 on Grizzly and he called his 308 his big gun, his name was Clayton Mack.

Then people cry foul when others use 223s for deer.
