260 Rem the skinny please!

Love my 260 Rem. Easy to shoot and load. Have not really found a powder that won't give good accuracy. Have settled on a 125 grn Nosler Ptn with 48 grns of H4831. RL 19 works well too in my gun anyway, as does H4350, IMR 4831, and even IMR 4320 (excellent accuracy) with lighter bullets. I've got a Rem 700 SS DBM, with 24" barrel - I would advocate for a 24" barrel on the 260 given the light handling and short action. Am working up 130 grn TSX with H4350 and it looks promising. I like the 125 - 130 grn bullet and will try to load a Nosler 140 grn Ptn at some point. Taken bear and mule deer with it. Assuming I get a good load out of the 130 TSX, I wouldn't hesitate to take a moose under the right conditions (Northern Europeans have been taking moose for years with a 6.5).

Thats exactly what I had my eye on was the 130 TSX! If Nosler intorduces a Accubond in 130 it will be stuffed into my rifle in no time....DB go ahead and post the target if your inclined

sure will once I can get up there to see ya and we both have some time! I thought there were some 120's kickin' around. I've really cleaned the hell out of the barrel now and will likely load 20 rounds with out moly for now for wackin' dirt pigs with then as things slow down mid summer ...on to more load developement

K, target pics off a bipod...
