Does anyone know the barrel twist rate for a Remington CDL SF in 264 WM?
I just bought a beauty on here. Not sure if I can shoot Hornady ELD-X 143gr I bought...1-8 on box.
Thanks
Damn. I bought a box without noticing the 1-8 rate. 140 Partitions it is I guess. .According to this source -
264 Winchester Magnum - 1 in 9" Browning; FN; Husqvarna; Musketeer;
Remington 700; Savage 110; Sako; Schultz &
Larsen; Winchester 70, 670, 770

You'll never know if you don't try.
From the Sierra Infinity Suite:
264 Winchester Magnum
Primer: Remington 9 1/2M Test Firearm: Winchester M70
Case: Winchester BBL Length: 24"
Twist: 1x9" Trim-to Length: 2.490"
Bullets:
#1730 6.5 mm/.264 Caliber (.264) 140 gr. SBT OAL 3.340
#1740 6.5 mm/.264 Caliber (.264) 140 gr. HPBT Match OAL 3.340
#1742 6.5 mm/.264 Caliber (.264) 142 gr. HPBT Match OAL 3.340
I don't think it will make much difference.
That is a good bullet, try it. The increased velocity may be a match.
If you weren't going to shoot the 142 grain ELD-X what would you use.
