I have been reading a lot on the 270 this past week, mostly internet BS and other forum posts etc
I have read at least 5 that put down the 270 for not being able to kill quickly. thoughts?
This post got me wondering and it gave me the pleasure of mentally re-living the whitetails I've shot with my .270...
zzzzzzzz....
Huh, where was I? Oh yeah, this is what came up with. Of 9 deer taken with my .270 (all with factory 130 gr. Cor-Lokt bullets);
6 were bang-flops,
2 went 50 or so yards; and
1 went about 70 yards.
Some deer were hit better than others, but all within the boiler room. Its interesting to note that "perfect" shot placement did not necessarilly mean a bang-flop.
