Sure, I'll visit, if you have some boar to shoot.. And I do NOT mean Bonesy!!

We can drink the red wine and he can suck back thin beer

BEER! Not just for breakfast any more!

Beer before dinner, wine with dinner, rye after dinner, the good Canadian compromise.

There are boar hunts down here for sure, and I believe BIGREDD has been on them..........but he did not use a .270 or a .280.........right, Redd?

Doug

Boar hunting is done in a can, so it might just suck :p

Shot 2 with the 300 win Mag 180 gr failsafes. a meat boar, and a trophy boar.
the 270 and 280 are just not adequate for boar hunting
you need atleast a 458, ot a 577 tyrannasaur

Saw one hit with a 300 gr Copper solid. out of a 50 cal ML 100 gr's of pyrodex.
FOlded up like a 2 dollar suitcase.

Beer, your morning barley sandwich

I can't help but notice that the .270 cal is only one vote behind the .280 in popular opinion... I am pleading with the .270 owners to step up to the plate... I am losing sleep over this one... and I know there is no more than 30 .280 owners in all the world... so lets put the .270 over the top... I need this... I really do...  :? :( :|

HAW Haw... 10,000 270 owners beat up by 20 .280 owners :)
Tell you anything

I can't believe this thread is still going  & you still need more convincing

Nice first post relic 8) welcome to CGN... you are now officially in the fray... you may regret coming in on the right side of this cluster-chuck

Just wanted you to know BREDD I've got my eye on you

Me thinks that fellers first post with the 270 vote might have been
instigated by you

You have to get up awful early in the morning to beat an old fella to the out house

Time to get the pot up to a boil again ...
There is an article in Canadian Shooting Sports Bulletin that I thought BigRed would enjoy reading :
Cartridge Corner by Tony Bernardo....The .280 Remington

I especially liked this paragraph and I quote ..." It seems the .270 is the cartridge of the masses, living out almost a century of spectacular excellence .The .280 Remington is an even better choice, the choice of the aficionado, the lover of guns, game, performance and steadfast reliability in the field."
Hey, I are an "aficionado"...and yesterday I couln't even spell it .
