270 win or 270 wsm?

I've owned both, and currently of the two only own the 270 WCF. IMHO the WSM isn't worth all the hype. You won't notice a hint of difference on game between either round, and you will find 270WCF ammo pretty much anywhere - was at my local gunstore this morning, and the only WSM ammo they had was 3 boxes of 300WSM and no 270WSM. They had a shelf of both 270WCF and 300WM and lots of variety in both. No WSM's of any caliber at either Crappy Tire or Wally World today.
 
Vote for the 270win. Velocity is not everything an even a mildly loaded 270win performs great for me an with correct bullet you will kill moose or big deer out to 300 no drama.

Since you are new to this, the rifle you get good with will be the one you will practice with at the range. So ammo availability and cost would be something I'd look into.

Personally I'd go for the.270 win.
