I had a chat with Chris, from the MNR over a different topic and ended up, a conversation about legal use of the 270 and 7mm for small game.
It was actually a conversation about the legalities of using full metal jacketed bullets.
Seems the 270 is legal enough, No judge in this country would question a few thousandths of an inch.
He mentioned the law would, however question 7mm(.284).
It is a lot of gun for a coyote, or even ground hog for that matter. But it's all I used here for many years and had no problems with the law.
Just a few problems with landowners complaining about the noise, cause the one acre lot owners who wanted to experience country life dont understand gun fire in the country(maybe they should move back to the city?)
Where theres a different type of noise pollution, and if they hear gun fire in the city, they can find comfort in knowing where it's coming from.
