No offense to you in particular HOSSONE, but why do so many people on these forums worry about ammo being available every where?!
If your a non-reloader, I can see a small point being raised. BUT! If you dont reload, its just a smart practice to "plan" ahead for your ammo needs.
If you hunt/shoot where you need more ammo supplied, either bring more ammo, or rethink your hunting/shooting strategy.
I ALWAYS bring much more ammo than I need, in case my needs change part way through my trip.
I put a little ammo in my vehicle, pack, and suitcase.
That pretty much covers it.
If you are travelling to hunt and your worried about your ammo being lost on the way, just send some ammo to your destination/outfitter/friend in advance. Then bring some with you when you go.
And, no matter what caliber you shoot, if the firearm gets misplaced you are hoooped!
Thats just a peeve of mine, sorry for deviating from the subject of the post.
