.270win what powder next?

great comment and thank you. I have an RCBS die and one of the first troubleshooting things I did was double check the instructions. (the die has been sitting in my press forever and I can't remember the last time I moved it). The manufacturers recommendation is to bring the shell holder to the top of its throw, screw the die into the press until it touches and then with the shell holder back down, thread it in 1/8 of a turn. I did this, resized the fire brass and it would not fit. I resized, in the same die, an unfired piece of brass and it fits in the chamber.
Older rifle is an A-Bolt 2 and the new rifle is an X-Bolt 2. I'll do my homework on the neck resizing. I'm slightly annoyed because now I'll need to keep the brass separated and use a system to ID the x bolt rounds for when we go hunting.
Also consider a neck size only die, as long as it is used for the rifle the brass was originally shot in, this might be the cure. In my experience nso brass is more accurate than fl and will last longer due to less stress on the entire case and will require less trimming. At around forty bucks it is a worthwhile investment.
