Have to be at least 8m from untravelled portion of road before you can have your firearm loaded and shot. (At least in Ontario).
Not 100% true.. there is a chart in the Ontario Reg where there is a clear distinction between areas, some allow you to have a loaded firearm on the road (but no shooting across, or in the 8 meters) some you can't shoot and you can't be loaded). some have conditions about deer season (See below)
