Haven't shot a match yet (next month) but;
Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6 on Vortex 2" cantilever mount, MK Machine throw lever

Started with Aimpoint, added a magnifier, tried a Bushnell 1-4 to see if I liked a variable...and hey! I do! About to start hunting for a Trijicon 1-4 before this season starts.

Few observations:

RDS (sometimes with magnifier) was the norm years ago. Now 1-4x the norm.

Shooters want the most bang for buck (Millet, Vortex Strike Eagle, PST) - Nobody use Primary Arms variable scopes??

Shooters who shoot in the US (ie. longer distance targets) will likely go for higher mag like 1-6x.

Lots of interests for the *relatively* affordable 1-8x Trijicon.

Im also selling my ELCAN OS4. Fixed x4 scope.

I've used it. It works well. And if youre shooting at very short ranges. Id just cant my rifle and shoot. If youre 5ft away you don't exactly need sights for it lol.
