What type of shotgun ammo is used in these comps? ie. slugs, buckshot or birdshot? Cheers Roscoe Looks like fun!
This match was all bird shot. That doesn't mean you'll never see slug or buck, it depends on the stage design.

In all the matches that I have shot in Southern BC, Southern Alberta and Southern Saskatchewan during the last 24 years the upper limit has been set at #4 lead shot in order to prevent richochet problems from steel targets that are at times only 5-10 meters in front of you.
I'm going to set up a friendly three gun match at my local club, but have never done it before. Where did you guys get ideas for your stages? I've searched for some ideas, but the stage designs were really complex!
We should have a stage exchange section on this site.

That looks like a LOT of fun! Thanks for posting the pics!
You're welcome. I think it's only an 8 hr. drive from McMurray, come on over for our next one on Sept. 11.![]()
Most of run a level 1 type of holster which is what you are describing. Some run level 2 and some of the LEO run a Level 3. It will work. It is all good with us. We are not about running hard and beating each other up. We are about having fun and making some friends while shooting.
Any other questions, just ask.
