3 Gun Team Match @ PCFGA, Peace River, AB, October 5th, 2013

18 targets for the whole team. 20 rounds for each shooter. Each team mate has 9 targets to engage. I mucked up my math in the post just above, it's 2+ shots per target.

No, not all at 300m. Equally split between 100, 200 and 300.

The calibre/target limitations for this stage were posted quite some time ago, when I realized .223 was marginal. I've never given out this much info on a stage before and it's to make sure everyone is aware and prepared.

Of course thanks very much for the Info! Appreciate all of your work

I think we are going to try it with some 75 grain rounds from an 18" Barrel and see what happens. How about 23 rounds max for the stage, gives us at least a bit of a chance :)

Is 23 your lucky number?

The 100 and 200m plates are somewhat easier, because it's easier for precise shot placement and because the round has more energy.

You'd be surprised how little effect .223 can have on plates at 300m that are darn near able to be knocked over by a gust of wind. I know I was.

We did not try 75gr .223 on them.

Never mind problem solved. We are going to use rifle grenades. I found a box under the stairs that have some funny markings on them, but I'm sure it will be fine. :)

Outstanding. Though we may have to rebuild the bases after your turn. We'll put you guys last on that stage.

Nope. I'm not going to change the setup that has been advertised. Guys are expecting to be able to use one rifle for the team on that stage, and have chosen their equipment accordingly. Many of the teams other rifles wouldn't have a hope of knocking down the steel.

We're up to 15 teams. If anyone knows someone who is planning on attending and they are NOT on the team list, please get them to contact me.

That puts us at 19 teams. I hate to do it, but I'm going to cap entries at 20.

Now, I'm going to go and have a panic attack while I figure out how we're going to deal with more than double the number of shooters we've ever had before. :runaway:

I will volunteer for scorekeeping..... ;)

I am sure all of these guys will step and volunteer to S.O. 1/2 a stage each and that will make life easy.

We've hit the 20 team limit and we're full. Please PM or email to go on the wait list.

If you are registered and can't make it, please let me know so we can go to the waiting list.

Pics of new prizes and an interesting stage option up shortly.:)

Edit:

From GSdesigns we have 3D printed mag extensions for LAR mags to replicate the size of a proper capacity magazine, and printed stripper clips. Thanks, Alex!

From AmmoSupply.ca we have 2 $25 gift certificates for each participant, one for the shooter and one for a friend, a paracord survival bracelet for every participant,2 Original SOE velcro shotshell cards, 2 Original SOE single-point bungee slings, each with 2 different attachment options, and 2 Original SOE Shotgun Micro Rigs, each with regular straps and the excellent H-harness. And some slug and buck to fill them up with!

Thanks to Kate for her overwhelming generosity in supporting our event!

And another edit:

Teams will have the option of using a UTS-15 bullpup shotgun on one stage in place of one of their shotguns. Thanks to Wolverine Supplies for providing their demo model for use at the match.
