I like the standard factory version on Mauser 98s, mostly because of the way they can work as built-in bolt takedown tools, but in general, on most rifles, they seem to be faddish, unnecessary, and often expensive add-ons. I'll take the simplicity of a solid two-position safety any day, just so long as it locks down the bolt handle.
