30,000 round plus DD MK18

Excellent question, what mags did you use and what was the experience there?

The mags used are Pmags and metal USGI of various manufacture. My rifle in particular prefers pmags as the metal mags always jam on the last round (this may be due to the fact that these mags see a lot of use with LE/MIL).

Well the Lantac Dragon got about 300 rounds through it last night (usually would have been more but we were doing rifle and pistol transition drills). I am very impressed, I haven't used any other muzzle devices other than the AGW linear brake but the Lantac is head and shoulders above that device for muzzle flip mitigation. It was obviously louder than the AGW which throws all the boom forward but i didn't have anyone complaining. There was a slight concussion felt by the shooter but not enough to be distracting, in combination with the Geissele SSA i also just installed follow up shots were a breeze and groupings pulling the trigger as fast as my finger could work the trigger were smaller than 3" at 25 yards. I did notice that at 25yards the switch from the AGW brake to the Lantac required me to drop the reticle on my aimpoint by 9-10", which seemed excessive to me but i am admittedly inexperienced when it comes to changing muzzle devices and the change in POI that will have.

i just bought one of these beauty rifles as well, she shoots like a dream. on my rifle, the safety selector is hard to manipulate when the bolt is to the rear, any idea what gives?

Congrats on the MK18. The safety just needs to get broken in some more. Is it a good thing to mount your light right in line with the ports of your muzzle brake? That's some pretty hot gasses that come out of there. It's enough to cause gas erosion on the metal brake, that can't be good for polymer no?

That's exactly why I mounted mine underneath, that and I shoot with an index finger forward and thumb over top grip so the light on the bottom rail doesn't interfere with the grip and it's still easily accessed.

I shot one with a surefire break a little while ago... I peeked to see what was ratting my theet from a couple stalls away. Holy frakking fireball with the norc stuff for sure.
waiting for a KX5 for mine now
If it was on a Noveske it was probably me LOL.

that dont look like a 30k shot bolt....just saying

That's why I posted pics, I can't believe it looks this good still. I did find out Sunday that either the latch on my raptor handle or the detent in the upper is so worn, that when the rifle recoils the charge handle comes loose then latches itself again when the bolt slams shut lol.

Anyone looking for surefire breaks call Graham at Tetragon Distributors, I ironically got an email earlier today that they just got some new ones in stock as well as Geiselle SSA's.

Finally found the email, this is US pricing but won't be much higher.

If you haven't already added a Geiselle SSA I highly recommend it. It's light enough to be fast but not light enough to be dangerous.

Actually, i was to but after 1000+ rounds my trigger have break in to be very smooth, my accuracy up to 200 yards is very good... JP.
