One is enough, on the other hand 308, i never have enough.
Yup, I'm up to 5 (Hoghunter, Tikka Battue, Browning Bar, Savage 10TR, Tikka CTR) in .308.....and I'm looking at another one!

One for this guy. I don’t believe in excess and I only use one at a time. When I’ve got two of something or am considering buying another of something I already own I evaluate each and decide which is better. The one that’s “not” the best goes down the road. When it comes to evaluating a rifle there are many metrics that have to be evaluated to decide which is best but once it’s decided I’m never going to use “second best” so it gets sold. My ‘06 is a kimber 84l with a 2.5-8x36 vx3 and shoots a 168 ttsx at 3k FPS. It’s kicked all of my 270, .308 and 300 mags out of my safe.
Yes, agreed. Now .308s? Can't have too many of those!
Not everyone does it this way — one reason is that it can tie up a lot of money — but many go through these steps to owning the best rifles:
(1) accumulate: acquire those that pique interest or have a good reputation
(2) shoot: study and compare characteristics
(3) cull (edit): sell those deemed flawed or imperfect
One might temporarily have lots of rifles in stages 1 and 2; and less after stage 3.
