Yessir! Even these will completely penetrate a 10" spruce at 50 yd.

180 cast ahead of a pinch of polyester tufting and 10 gr of of AL5 from an old can I had here. That's 700 rounds per pound of powder!

Accuracy is very good, and they chamber just fine at that length.

They are too long to feed from the magazine tube however. Have to be seated to the next lube groove to feed.

Really? Those are really fast growing trees.

At 2000 fps the time elapsed will be .075 seconds. A 30-06 bullet @ 3000 fps will take .05 seconds to cover the same distance. I would bet that you couldn't tell the difference either way and i know the moose couldn't.

Ted, those 30-30 lever's just seem to respond well to cast boolits eh
The load my 26" bbl Centennial likes is a 173gr Lee cast boolit (wheel weights) w/gas check in front of 24grs of AA 5744. Groups suprisingly well at 100yds @ just over 2000fps.
