30/30 will do anything a 44 mag can, but not visa-versa.
30-30, it's a 200 yard gun, the 44 RM is a 100 yard gun. If anyone tried to argue, just remember the 30-30 burns 10 grains more powder (~50% more).
And the 44 can shoot a bullet twice as heavy....
The energy ultimately comes from the powder, explain how 22 grains of powder has more power than 32 grains of powder.
The 30-30 with 170gr bullets and the 44 RM with 180 grain bullets (in a rifle) have a very similar muzzle velocity, from there on out the 30-30 has an advantage that increases with every yard.
I'll take a 170 grainer at 2200fps over a 240 grainer at 1600fps any day.
Are you trying to say the 44 RM is more powerful than the 30WCF?
'cause it ain't.
.44 magnum all day long.30-30 isn't worth my time,Ive had nothing but bad things happen while using them hunting, from misfires to wounded game with good shot placement,to jamming rifles and broken firing pins.30-30 and myself do not mix.But I still have my model 94 I got at k mart back in the day ,which works great as a decoration lol.
