300 Blackout AR15

We tried some Hornady 110gr factory loads in the AR and they had the same problem I ran into with my handloads running the same bullet. The short OAL tends to let the round flip verticle as it comes out of the magazine.

That's weird, my 300blk runs my 110gr v-max handloads perfectly.
110gr v-max over 19.4gr of H110 set at COAL 2.04 inch gives me just over 1 inch @ 100yds and has been 100% reliable, never had a failure to feed from any magazine. It's my best load so far.
I also found that for any loads over 125gr I have to switch to LiL'gun powder and then somewhere in the 160ish grain range I have to switch to AA1680 in order to cycle the AR. I haven't done accuracy testing on anything other than the 110gr, just tested the heavier ones for function and found my minimum charges to cycle the action.

I've even tried those weird looking 110gr Hornady FMJ with the blunt tip and they feed fine.

They aren't hard to find.
The more people buying them and asking for ammo the more the stores will bring in. I was also told by one of the retailers in Edmonton that he was expecting to see 300BLK coming in this summer in bulk FMJ loads which would make shooting factory loads much easier and also cheaper.
Right now it is better to be a reloader for the cartridge but it can be found in stores if you want factory loads.

Now THAT is cool!! What is that toggle thing that is hanging down in front of the trigger? I think I have seen that on a few other guns too...is it some kind of modified mag dump?

Yep. Magpul BAD lever. Allows you to close the bolt with your trigger finger. I took it off shortly after this photo - for me it created more problems (gets snagged on ####) than it solved.

Death, thanks for the plug lol. If and when I build my 300 I'll be assembling it myself just for the fun of it.
