Now, now, don't git read'in into this too much.
I have seen some decent groups at a hundred yards.
Heard talk of one fifty and two hundred.
Never heard the legs being spread that far apart to five hundred.
What do you guys do, big red rope pinned at the bullseye and attached
to a helium balloon to fit the target?
Did a little searching for these targets, but my search is pretty limited to
my patience here.
So to the OP, post up a target to appease at least me. :)

Fun to watch his young daughter on the one video.
Now this has me thinking about the leg stretching on the T-Bolt I bought this year.
I will take it out next time to the range and try it on the 200 yard targets.
I never would of ventured the five hundred.
Fun to watch, now just need to try it out.
That clay bank makes for easy bullet spots.

Got my new scope all mounted up and ready to go! Building a smaller target now for 500 yards, then im off to go shoot it!

Might want to do a little searching before flaming a poster who actually backs what he says. Roll your eyes all you like, there are some nice picks of 500 yard targets, flattened bullets from those targets and a series of YouTube videos. You have been on these boards long enough to realize its where folks meet to exchange ideas and actually at times like to stretch the limits of the equipment. Why mock a man for doing so? Better yet why not shoot a 22 to 1000 and see what it does. You may just surprise yourself and others. The reason the box says dangerous to a mile is because it's been tested to a mile.

I suggest the Banner as well. They are not crystal clear at 24x, but they are pretty decent for the price. I have one on my .22WMR and am quiet pleased with it. I have used it to shoot out to 200 yards with this rifle and you can see the holes just fine through it. I actually just ordered 2 more of them from Del Selin's, one for my .17HMR and another for my .223. There are better choices, but I doubt that you will find one that meets your criteria in your price range.
 
Went shooting today, the new target is fun, Hit the small one a few times, the bigger one is not as hard to hit as i thought it would be. it was fun. I have the VGM set up to hold right on at 500 yards. works great!

also shot some groups with cci sv. all are 5 shot groups using front bipod and rear bag. laying in the dirt lol.

Well it just didnt seem right that a guy shooting out to 500 yards with his 22 would be asking advice on what optic to use? Why not use what you have on there that got you that far? Guess Im a skeptic.

Why not? He obviously wanted something better than what he was using.

Just because a guy shoots to 500 yards doesn't mean he is aware of all the potential optics out there. I just don't get why when guys ask for input guys like you show up with needless comments. Contributions are always more pleasant to read than criticisms.

I went on Youtube to and i am impress, i have been shooting for a long time and i never taught of a 22 lr at 500 metres, you are right Sir never judge before seeing ... Cheers. JP.

JP. it looks to me like its more of a challange than lr shooting with Center fire. I know what my boys and i will be doing this summer as a new project. have some new scopes on the way to give her a try. should be fun.

He is using a vgm, variable gantry mount, allows him to introduce variable MOA into the rail, pretty cool , not fixed at 20moa. seeing that he is shooting lob balls at distance (the lowly 22lr cartige) having access to lots of moa is a heck of a feature. I suspect the reason the rail is high is to accomodate for the internal mechanics
