mulemania; Your posts lead me to believe that you have not paid much attention to the cautions that surround our fine hobby.
In your reference to your 7mm Mag, you mention H870 building pressure right out to the end of that barrel.
Ok, but peak pressure is there within a very short distance from the throat.
That is what one must look out for.
Also, worn and eroded throats often increase, not decrease pressures, due to the roughness of the metal that has been burned in that area.
Whether you "feel" safe with your 300 UM or not is irrelevant....you are NOT safe at those pressures/velocities.
We are simply suggesting you back off a bit to preserve yourself and those who are around you while shooting.
A failure at 90K would not be a pretty sight!
