300 rum 200 acubonds r25

I used the 180gr Accubond/Ballistic Tip, and 96gr of R-25 was a bit excessive in my rifles with a 180gr bullet, let alone a 200gr bullet.

Measure the case web expansion of some unfired cases, as well as some cases that were fired with 96gr of R-25, and I am predicting a difference of well over .001", most likely in excess of .002".
 
I will be happy with 3300 ftps if i can tighten it to .5moa

If that sendero with a 26" barrel is driving uncoated 200gr Accubonds at 3300fps, I would have it in a gun rest, and be firing it remotely. I would not have my face next to that action because exposing it to the pressure that is being produced, is likely to result in the action letting go at some point in time.
 
200grns at 3300fps!! Yikes, definitely doesn't sound right.

That is because it isn't right for a 26" barrel, and uncoated bullets.

i have found that alot of people are excessively nervous because they dont know where to stop.

If you have had to pound out cases with a cleaning rod, you obviously don't know where to stop.f:P:

It's like a buddy of mine getting 3000 fps with the 180 in a 26" 30-06. It's just not a realistic figure within given pressure limits.
The fact that you don't observe any excess pressure signs is meaningless.
I tend to load to the upper end of the scale, but do not toy with any load that exceeds normal data by almost 200 fps.
That 3300 is more suited to the 180, not the 200.
If you have to play in that high pressure window, spend some money and buy a pressure transducer to read pressures properly in your rifle. You may get a bit of a shock.

given the situation i doubt the pressure was even close to what that calculator says. as everyone knows the only true way to tell is with a pressure transducer.
there is so many variables in every individual rifle, if the diameter of your barrel is off by .0002 of an inch, how many psi is that going change it? plus or minus

Since your velocity is about 10% more than that listed in any manual, or on any site, that I can find, the pressure will be a great deal more than 10% more. Given that the pressure/velocity curve is not linear, 89,000psi doesn't sound at all out of reason for the velocity listed. It sounds like you are a very lucky person so far, but luck often runs out if you tempt fate enough.
 
Having 89,000 psi next to your face in a cartridge designed for 61,000psi is ignorant.

you are simple arnt you i bought the rifle for dirt cheap and did it as a test you never even asked me how it was fired i wanted to see how much pressure i could achieve in the action without issues, i never said i actually physically shot the thing, you assume things what i am saying is that i feel pritty damn safe with my 300 considering what i achieved with the 7 mag why else would i buy a 7 mag with 2400 rounds though it
 
mulemania; Your posts lead me to believe that you have not paid much attention to the cautions that surround our fine hobby.
In your reference to your 7mm Mag, you mention H870 building pressure right out to the end of that barrel.
Ok, but peak pressure is there within a very short distance from the throat.
That is what one must look out for.
Also, worn and eroded throats often increase, not decrease pressures, due to the roughness of the metal that has been burned in that area.
Whether you "feel" safe with your 300 UM or not is irrelevant....you are NOT safe at those pressures/velocities.
We are simply suggesting you back off a bit to preserve yourself and those who are around you while shooting.
A failure at 90K would not be a pretty sight!
