I know the .308 has an advantage over the old 300. But all in all what you guys think. Could the 300 savage be my do all caliber in the 99. Can she handle moose, or black bear. Thoughts?
The .300 kills as well as the .308 with less recoil. Plus it just oozes with class.

Not to mention the endless joys of searching for ammunition.
With .300, you'll have lots and lots of fun, scouting, studying, glassing, hunting, and calling, whereas a.308 is more like lounging in a heated blind overlooking a corn feeder.
I wish my 308 was a 300Savage but ammo and brass could be a bit testing these days.
A Model Seven in 300 Savage would be a very cool combo.
Ammo is no problem at all if you’re a handloader and have any 308 Winchester brass laying around.

Just resize in the case, trim to proper length, chamfer the case mouth, load, and go.
