The only moose I ever shot with a 300 WM, I had used a 180 grain Accubond.
Zero complaints, but sample size of 1. Found the bullet after passing through a significant amount of moose and it was nicely mushroomed.
My best hunting bud and I have folded up a few with 180 grain Ballistic Tips and 165 SST as well, but these are at 30-06 velocity. Not sure how well they would work at 300 WM speed.
These days I have taken quite a shining to the Federal Trophy Bonded Tip, when they can be found (replaced by the goofy named "terminal ascent" et al) as I believe they offer the best of both worlds between a lead cored bullet and a mono. Small amount of lead up front, solid copper rear shank. High weight retention coupled with fast, violent opening.
