Are you on a quad or in a vehicle, either way carrying a loaded firearm will get you into deep sh1t fast.

riding on a quad or in a truck with a loaded weapon is definately illegal

190 grain BTSP work pretty good in the 300 Winchester,while walking through a cutblock a very unlucky crow landed on a stump about 80 yards away.
He pulled a Houdini right in front of me.....poof , he was gone.
I have seen 5 does but no bucks running them yet..........
