Any one have a best all around hunting (deer, moose and elk) load they use for their 300 wsm ? I was thinking of using 165 grain ttsx but would like to hear other's experience with this caliber.

Thanks,

Hank

I'm just getting ready to start building loads with a 165gr Hornady GMX. Sounds like similar performance to the TTSX but a bit cheaper.

I load for the .264 WM but in 30 cal I would use a Sierra 165 grain GameKing for deer, and a Nosler Partition 180 grain spitzer for elk and moose.

In my 300 WSM, I am using the Hornady 165 GMX.
Chased by Reloder 17, it is a great load in my Vanguard.
Of course, you would have to do some development to see which bullet/powder
combination works best in YOUR rifle.
Regards, Dave.

Either 180 grain bullet with 69 grains RL22 for about 2900 fps or 180 grain bullet with 62 grns RL17 for about 3000 fps. The RL17 load seems hot, the rl22 does not. All in browning a bolt 300 wsm

I use the 130gr TTSX at 3500 fps 150gr TSX at 3250 FPS, 180gr TSX at 3000 fps and I would like to try the 175gr LRX too. I've shot Parttions, Hornadys and Accubonds, too, but mostly reach for the 150gr TTSX.

I couldn't decide between the 168gr or 180gr TTSX for mine so I went with the 175gr LRX :). RL19 and the 175gr LRX at 3000 fps.

I am sort of satisfied on accuracy with RL17 but wonder if I can't do better. I see a few of you using H4350 and I've read that a few guys are having good luck with IMR7828SSC. Would like to try these powders out but getting sick of spending dollars on powder & then changing my mind. If any of you can comment both on speed & accuracy I'm sure there are more than a few of us interested. Seems like 3000 fps with 180's is fairly achievable but if the accuracy isn't there it sucks.
