Soon I will be testing a new mold, a 150 grain bullet in the 45/70, it is a "collar button design that I will make from pure linotype mixed with 2% Tin. I will use the best lube out there and see how high I can safely go with velocity from both a 34" and 26" barrel, pressures will be kept to below 40K. Very little load data exists for this and I am interested in what folks think would work for loads and their expectations, ie: powder and charge weight. I have my own thoughts but would like to hear from others.
This bullet is meant for gallery type loads in the .45s and 1000 fps or less!!!........Tin Foil hat is on!!!!!
