.303 British Varmint round?

I use my SKS for deer hunting as well as a rem 799 in the same calibre. I pull the FMJ and replace with a Sierra ProHunter. I then use the resulting FMJ surplus to load coyote rounds for my .303. Unfortunately, they will pass straight through leaving an in and an out hole. Kills them, though. I'll look up the recipe and post it.

Guess you missed the mange part? Ever see a coyote bald in -40 with black open sores all over it's body dying a lingering death?......when the fur market is poor they over populate and nature thins them out with disease...............not to mention the calves they kill every spring................Harold

Was that directed to me?
Sorry, I don't care if there is 40 holes in the hide. Neither did the people I sold them to. One small hole in, small hole out. Just so it is dead and not harming livestock, and also, it is worth $15 in bounty...so...

The market for coyote fur is ZERO so just blow holes in them and feed the ravens. They aren't worth the postage to send to market................lots of mange in AB this year.....Harold

THe prices are low, yes, but I've also come by my trapper's licence, and with the new incentive in NS this year, every pelt I export I get a $20 bonus. Im not hunting them for that reason, but it is a nice plus.

Rook, what grain of bullets are those? I have some Dominion milsurp 174grn FMJs sitting around that I might use then, but I've also got some unpulled (dont have a bullet puller) 7.62x39 czech stuff... hmm. No SKS though :(

125gn FMJ. My recipe is 48gn WC735. Winchester LRP. Winchester or Imperial brass. MV chronied at 2911 FPS. Nice round, works well.

Hornady makes loaded 7.62x39 ammo with a 123gr. V-Max, but unfortunately they don't sell the bullets alone.

OH really...:D

How many do you want?

Lots of like jacket, light weight bullet options in 310 to 312 bore.

Also various, BTHP at decent pricing that would work great if the throat in your barrel is too long

Let me know what you are looking for.

I can't comment on the 123gn VMax's, but I can comment on the 110gn ones I use in my .308 Nighttraiin for 'yotes out to 400yds. Anything past 50yds, theres a hole in the hide going in, horrific damage inside as the dang thing explodes, and no hole out. I like it, and the wife likes the 58gn moly's in her .243Win.
